giant-halaszle.jpg

That’s one big bogrács of what we are pretty sure was halászlé, at the mini-food festival which accompanied last weekend’s Nemzeti Vagta (“National Gallup”) horseracing show in Budapest. The fish could not be reached for comment.

I had a peek into the cauldron in question also- the odd thing is, it
didn’t seem to have ever been full…the best looking stall in the
attached chow fest was a place selling very colourful and tasty petit
fours- dried fruit(?) balls- what are these called in Hungarian?

  2. klara says:

how can it be a ‘mini’ anything with a cauldron that size? :)
