Nice full flavor although tangy toward the end, especially toward the back of the mouth.
Excellent – but wouldn’t let this sit for too long in the cellar. Totally worth the price.
Mature, robust nose. Slightly thinner on the palate but still delicious, tending to the peppery. Oaks are a little heavy making it a good match for steak of beef or pork with pepper sauce.
Sophisticated nose of plum and assorted dark fruit, with red fruit rather coming through on the slinky palate. This switch from darker to red fruit keeps your attention. Smooth, well balanced and polished all the way – even the taste of strawberries and cream comes through on the rounded palate. Medium rather than full bodied, this very well made red wine slips down easily and is the ideal “posh” party wine. Made to be drunk now.
Just looked at the price. Finally a great value Hungarian wine!
A roller-coaster on the tongue. Comes on strong, dies away, only to be revived for the final thrill. In other words, doesn’t die on the tongue like so many lower priced reds. Really nice.
