Visit Hungary and Die of a Heart Attack and Alcohol Poisoning

Someone recently passed along the above video about Hungarian food and wine, which was apparently produced by some independent video production company for use by travel-related websites. While my tipster seemed mostly concerned by the fact that the thing is little more than two-and-a-half minutes of nonstop clichés accompanied by a laughably cheesy and inept voice-over (the only comment in the email was "tourist trap") my reaction was to instead marvel at how any one country could offer so many culinary specialties so out of touch with the worldwide trend towards healthier eating and drinking. That, and, to think Man, does all that stuff look good!

Would it be better if they showed some Tom George clones?

Just the thought of a video of all those horribly smug, overpriced restaurants being used to promote Hungary gives me the chills.

I used to work at Gundel Restaurant and the picture at 1:36 still made me laugh. This video is just horrible.

I am now startled watching this video that how can alcohol be used in such a food making purposes. I would say it a spooky video.
