Túró Rudi

Curd Cheese Chocolate Bar

Túró Rudi

Túró Rudi ("TOO-RO RUDI") is the name of a uniquely Hungarian dessert made by dipping a bar of slightly sweetened and compressed túró into chocolate. Several manufacturers produce túró rudi in a range of flavors, including strawberry, raspberry, apricot, hazelnut, raisin and coconut, but by far the most popular in Hungary is the classic version, made with dark chocolate.

Recently, the biggest such producer began marketing a túró rudi-flavored ice cream, while a smaller company signed an agreement to produce túró rudi bars in China.
