Torma horseradish

Torma is one of the most typical Hungarian spices. The plant’s root is grated and used to flavor meat dishes, kolbász and Easter ham. It is grown and sold everywhere in the country, both fresh and bottled.

For related information, see fűszer (spices) and fűszernövény (herbs).
