This cookbook, written by turn-of-the-century actress Mariska Vízvári, contains recipes mostly for “products of classic French kitchen,” the foreword states. The author encourages using the cooking water in dishes to preserve nutritients, while offering ideas for using leftovers in other to save money. The books was originally published in 1914 and reprinted in its original form by Minerva in 1986.
