Star Serves a Mean Kebab, Despite Reports of Surly Service
Our friends over at Pestiside.hu just posted a lurid account of a "Kebab Shop Bloodbath" involving some foreign tourists and knife-wielding members of the staff of the Star Kebab restaurant near Pest's Nyugati tér. We can't add much to what they've reported in regards to the incident in question. But we can say that we've been to Star on several occasions and enjoyed all kinds of wonderful Turkish delights, including the above plate of "Iskender kebap" we enjoyed sometime late last year. So if you're in the neighborhood, don't be shy about dropping in. Just, you know, don't forget to smile when ordering and to leave your waiter a nice tip.

Star kebab has shit food. the end
The closest gyros shop to me is a Star Kebab, but I always walk a few streets over to another one which is far better. I'm surprised by this review as I find them the worst chain in Budapest.
The worst kebab i have ever had made me sick as a dog, but this food is not fitt for a dog. I think the people that wrote this review have been paid of.
Dont eat that food if you want to live

Come on guys, how many free kebabs are they paying you? Everyone know the best in Pest in City No1 near Blaha and in Buda it's the hut near MZsT. Friendly guys and always worth a salaam and a chat to (in several languages too). Not like the teenage moody drones at the Stars.
Its true, i was one of the people attacked by those insane turks and have the scars to prove it, didnt get to try to food on account of the knives being swung but im sure it wouldve been shithouse....

I agree with you here, Wilbur. Kicking somebody out of your house who is shouting abuse or slurs is not censorship, and neither is moderating such comments on a privately owned and operated site.
