St. Andrea
St. Andrea ("SENT-AAN-DRE-AA) is one of the best known and most highly regarded wineries of the historic Eger wine region. Opened in 1999, the winery is owned and managed by György Lőrincz and his wife, Andrea, who the winery was named after. It produces both white and red wines - mostly cuvées - from 12 different grape varietals on roughly 18 hectarers, averaging about 50,000 bottles a year.
A pre-release tasting o the winery's renowned "Merengő" Bikavér was the subject of this March, 2006 article.
