We're currently doing some long-overdue site maintenance that will likely involve some outages, including a temporary shut-down of our commenting functions. We'll hopefully be done within a few days. In the meantime, thanks for your patience and concern!

Somló

Wine Region

Somló (“SHOM-LO”) is a 832-hectare wine region centered around the extinct Somló-hegy volcano. The mineral-rich basalt soil produces characteristic white wines that are regarded among the best in the country. The Somlói Juhfark is the most celebrated wine to be produced in the region.
