Somló
Wine Region
Somló ("SHOM-LO") is a 832-hectare wine region centered around the extinct Somló-hegy volcano. The mineral-rich basalt soil produces characteristic white wines that are regarded among the best in the country. The Somlói Juhfark is the most celebrated wine to be produced in the region.
