Snidling (“SH-NEED-LING”), which sometimes goes by the more traditional name metélőhagyma, is grown everywhere in Hungary. It is added raw to dishes before serving, and is used to flavor potatoes, beans, peas, meat soups, roast meat, salads, egg and fish dishes, dips, sandwiches, túró and soft cheeses.
