Segal Pours Culinary Innovation on Extra-Thick with All-Chocolate Dinner

csoki-pour.jpgNot content with the sort of plain-vanilla culinary innovation that got them instantly propelled into the Chew Top 33, the cuisine daredevils over at Segal will be offering a "chocolate" dinner this Thursday. The even is meant to highlight the super-high quality and versatility of the csoki made by Amedei, a small Italian producer that gets its beans from a special plantation in Venezuela. The menu is as follows:

  • Jerusalem artichokes with chocolate sauce
  • Saint-Maure goat cheese on spicy biscuit with white chocolate
  • Fried duck breast with leek and black rice, chocolate sauce with red wine
  • Milk chocolate ice cream with truffles and candied ginger
  • Spicy Chuao chocolate mousse with freshly ground pepper

Aside from the obvious, what's unusual about this event is the price, which is a reasonable-ish Ft 11,000 (€44.75). But note that this doesn't include wine or, if you really get into the spirit of the thing, hot cocoa.
