As in much of central Europe, in Hungary savanyúkáposzta (“SHA-VAH-NEW-KAA-POSTA”), sometimes known as Vecsési káposzta (“VECH-EYSHI KAA-POSTA”) is both a condiment/accompaniment and an ingredient in cooked dishes.
