Sacher Torta

Sacher Cake

Sacher torta (“SASH-ER-TORE-TU”) was created in Vienna by a kitchen apprentice named Franz Sacher, but it is commonly found in Budapest. It is two layers of rather dry chocolate cake, with apricot glaze in the center, chocolate glaze on top and a mound of whipped cream.
