MONG other things, Hungary enjoys the dubious distinction of having one of the world's least-known great cuisines. Even the one dish that is familiar to many outsiders is often sorely misunderstood. (Gulyás is a soup, not a stew.) Because of this, we have recently begun to collect what we think are some of the most rewarding and interesting offerings from the Hungarian kitchen. Note that we will be continuously adding items, so if you have any you'd like to see included, feel free to send them in via the link at the top of the page. Also note that some of the recipes come from "classic" (i.e. old) Hungarian cookbooks, and may require a bit of creative interpreting, as well as several trips to our encyclopedia. Best of luck, and Jó étvágyat kívánunk!.
