Hungarian supermarket chain Reál has recalled two of its store-branded meat products made by Pick Szeged, after it was found that they contain elevated levels of the bacteria Listeria, 168ora.hu reports. The bacteria, which is pictured at left and can be deadly in certain cases, was found in 150 gram packages of sliced “Reál Párizsi” and 100 gram bundles of sliced “Reál Sonka.” According to klubradio.hu, Pick has accepted responsibility for the problem, which they said was caused either by faulty machinery or the failure of their employees to follow hygiene regulations. The supermarket will refund customers who bought these products, assuming they are still alive.

Very honest article considering that Pick’s label is pasted all over chew.hu The salami date divider can continue it’s banner shelf life with clear consciousness.
My wife introduced me to Gyulai Kolbasz – which in our opinion tastes better/more original Hungarian.
