Evőkanál (“EVOO-CAH-NAHL”) means “tablespoon” in Hungarian, and is used as a unit of measurement in some Hungarian cookbooks. Púpozott (“POOH-PO-ZOHT”) stands for “heaped,” and means the amount of the ingredient that stays in the spoon after scooping into it.
One púpozott evőkanál salt is 20 grams, for example.
