Pulyka (“POOEE-KA”) is an extremely popular form of baromfi (poultry), being cooked and eaten by Hungarians in pretty much every conceivable form except for the traditional American stuffed “Thanksgiving” turkey. There are three Hungarian breeds of turkey: magyar pulyka (“Hungarian turkey”), rézpulyka (“copper turkey”) and bronzpulyka (“bronze turkey”).
