Parmezán

Parmesan

Parmezán (“PAR-MEH-ZUN”) is the Hungarian word for the hard Italian cheese Parmesan. According to a February 2008 EU decision, only cheeses made in the country’s Parma region can wear the name “Parmesan.” In Hungary, it can be difficult to find non-grated Parmesan at small stores.
