Oszvald Furmint 2004 (Somló)

This wine from Lajos Oszvald was retailing for approximately Ft 2,500 in early 2008.

  1. Erik says:

Almost savage chalky, mineral nose, and dry, dry, dry. Don’t serve without food, for sure. But very elegant, and possibly a good value given the prices of “prestige” dry Furmints these days.

  2. Zen says:

Pea green. Chalky, mineral, rhubarb and ripe corn from the field on the complex nose. Oily waxy character on the palate with pronounced fiery, flinty and mineral flavour. A man’s wine.
