Established in the historic wine region of Eger in 1995, the Monarchia Borászat winery produces a wide variety of red and white wines on 35 hectares, using both traditional Hungarian and international varietals. The chief winemaker is Tamás Pók, who received his training partly in California.

The wines are exclusively distributed by Monarchia Matt International, a joint Hungarian-American venture importing and marketing Hungarian and American wines in five countries, including Hungary, Austria, Italy, Spain and the United States.
