Késői szüretelésű (“KAYE-SEAU-EE SOO-RET-EL-AYE-SOO”) literally means “late harvest.” It is increasingly used by winemakers in Hungary’s Tokaj-Hegyalja region for wines that do not follow the more traditional system of indicating sweetness by the number of puttony (“hod” barrels) of syrupy-sweet esszencia added to a wine during its production.
