Anna Tutsek was a writer born in 1869 in Kolozsvár. She began writing as a child, and her best-known books are for young adults and feature the character “Cilike.” In her cookbook, Katóka Szakácskönyve, she always assumes that her readers have things like húsleves on hand, although this is no longer the case with home cooks, notes the publisher of a 1987 reprint of the second edition, which was published in 1913.
