Kapor

Dill

Kapor is an essential spice in Hungarian cuisine. It is used for flavoring sauces which can accompany cooked beef, chicken or other meat dishes, and is also used in soups, salads, mushroom and cheese dishes and dips. It is typically added to főzelékek made from squash and pickled vegetables such as cucumbers, peppers and cabbage.

For related information, see fűszer (spices) and fűszernövény (herbs).
