Introducing the Peasant McMagyar®

mcpesant.jpg

Via on-again-off-again contributor Bede we get this great pic that was shot yesterday by Sándor Bisztray at the McDonald’s over on Blaha tér. In addition to the half-eaten parasztkolbász (“peasant sausage”) note the Túró Rudi sitting on the bench for dessert. Anyway, it couldn’t be any worse for you than the average McMeal. On the other hand…

  1. Godot says:

Home-made Hungarian smoked sausage goes best with good, fresh “barna kenyer” (brown bread). Unfortunately fresh and good are no longer available. Most of the good food is gone, but we have McDonald’s. Are we really better off now than 20 years ago? If yes, why?

  2. Anonymous says:

Homemade Hungarian sausage goes well if it is kept and aged for 20 years in an unused cupboard in a dark cellar. With any luck, it will be forgotten, and everyone will be better off.

  3. Godot says:

    Anon,
Did you grow up in a dark cellar? It shows.
