Hungaricum

"Hungaricum" (also spelled "hungarikum") is a term most often used for food products that are typically Hungarian, some of the best-known examples being Pick téliszalámi, pálinka and Túró Rudi. It is also used to refer to anything else typically Hungarian, such as indigenous plants, animals and even customs.

"Hungaricum" is not an official label, and there are no set rules on what can be labeled as such.

In 2007, a book written in English and Hungarian entitled "Hungaricum: Some of the Typically Hungarian Treasures in the Carpathian Basin" was published, which attempts to present all Hungaricums broken down to regions.
