The Hungarian Cookery Book was written by Károly Gundel. Károly was the son of János Gundel, who founded Gundel restaurant in City Park in 1910. This edition was published in 1964 and the cover states that Gundel “presents here a choice of recipes of his own and of other renowned Hungarian chefs, which may well interest both the chefs de cuisine and the housewives abroad.”
