Forgácssütemény (“FOR-GOCH- SHOO-TEAU-MAY-NEE”) are long, thin pieces of sweet pastry, which are sometimes coated with almonds. Immediately after they are baked they are twisted around a spoon, hence the name. The dough is made with egg whites whipped with sugar, flour and a small amount of almonds.
