This week marks the return of “Foodapest,” Hungary’s leading food industry trade show. On a visit to the event last year, we found it to be an worthwhile if not overwhelming experience. But a quick perusal of the promo materials for this year’s event suggests that it may be much more interesting this year around, thanks to the addition of numerous new exhibitors and thematic areas, including one on the local market for frozen food, which has in recent years grown something on the order of 40%, making it probably the single hottest business in Hungary. The show runs from tomorrow until Thursday, and while day tickets are Ft 3,800, they are apparently giving away tix to anyone who registers online between now and tomorrow.
