Ferenczy Újhegyi Kékfrankos 2005 (Sopron)

This wine from the Ferenczy Pincze was featured at Monarchia‘s 2008 portfolio tasting, and was retailing at that time for approximately Ft 4,000.

    This wine was/is extremely volatile, smelly and weird on the nose, but after someone close to the winemaker confirmed it was “on purpose” I actually really liked it. Possibly a bit pricey, but memorable.
