Pig Killing Feast

Disznótor (“DEES-NO-TOR”) refers to a ceremonial feast after a pig is killed in the Hungarian countryside. It is an important event for families following old traditions. Disznótor season lasts from November until February. The word disznótoros is used for dishes and pork products eaten at pig killing feasts.
