The Lowdown: Even though we once spent a whole month going jalan-jalan around Indonesia eating everything we could get our hands on, we still found it impossible to keep track of all the different dishes on offer in that vastly diverse food paradise. Same with this two-person sampler from Pest’s increasingly popular challenge to the more upscale Nusantara.
Even after we checked each item against the menu to confirm what they were, it was impossible to say which of the ayam (chicken) dishes was the best, not to mention which won the overall honors. Which means we’re just going to have to order the whole thing one more time, complete with the add-on dadar gulung (coconut-stuffed rice pancake dessert). And then maybe one more time. And yes, this means you should order it too.
