Desk Test: Express Poppers Pip Quesadillas

The Delivery: Jalapeño poppers (Ft 740); Colorado quesadilla (large, Ft 990)
From: Taco Express, via Netpincér.hu (Ft 150 delivery charge)
The Lowdown: Not bad at all, especially the poppers. Advertised as being bundázva, és bő olajba kisütve ("battered, and fried in plenty of oil"), the little buggers were surprisingly crunchy upon arrival, despite our understandable fears about deep-fried food not eaten straight out of the fat. And spicy too! On the other hand, the giant (óriás) quesadilla, stuffed with a mix of ground beef and spiced sausage and cheese, seemed sort of sad and limp, and not even particularly óriás, though it still had enough south-of-the-border zing to avoid getting deported from the desk unfinished. Meanwhile, the non-spicy but still pretty spunky pink sauce that comes with the poppers was good with both. So altogether a decent experience, if nothing to write home to Mexico about.

Until now, I always thought poppers came in a bottle. Silly me!
