Evőkanál (“EVOO-CAH-NAHL”) means “tablespoon” in Hungarian, and is used as a unit of measurement in some Hungarian cookbooks. Csapott (“CHA-PUT”) stands for “slapped,” and it means the part of the ingredient above the brim of the spoon should be removed.
One csapott evőkanál flour is 15 grams, for example.
