Leading Hungarian book publisher Alexandra Kiadó’s fourth annual restaurant guide, “Alexandra Étteremkalauz 2011″, has arrived in stores. According to the book, the “restaurant of the year” is Budapest’s Onyx Restaurant, and the “chef of the year” is Krisztián Huszár of the Mák Bisztró. The “discovery of the year” title went to Anyukám Mondta, an Italian/Hungarian restaurant located in Encs, for serving the country’s best pizza.
The guide contains over 330 reviews, which focusing on the performance of the kitchen but also take into consideration service, the quality of drinks and the price-value ratio. Based on points given in these categories, the top 15 restaurants are as follows:
