Budapest Burgerwar: A Word from the Competition

burgerwarsmall.jpgNot particularly hot on the heels of the painstaking and comprehensive Budapest Burgerwar™, comes this serving of burger advice from Privátbankár.hu. After the obligatory couple of paragraphs on the origins of the hamburger (Hamburg, duh), the piece launching into a review of the kinds of burger stands we do our best to avoid. The undisputed champburger comes from the Fanni Büfé, a battered yellow stand at the start of Szentendrei út, which scores an impressive 9.5/10 and is so renowned the testers were required to stand in line for quarter of an hour. Sadly, the credibility of this scaling systems was plunged into doubt by the over-packed and over-hyped Wikinger burger, which was able to match this near-perfect score. Jeff’s Büfé gets a more down-to-earth review, but just as the test is warming up, it’s all over, leaving burger experts like yourselves none the wiser.
