We're currently doing some long-overdue site maintenance that will likely involve some outages, including a temporary shut-down of our commenting functions. We'll hopefully be done within a few days. In the meantime, thanks for your patience and concern!

Viennese Frankfurters

 Bécsi virsli

Bécsi virsli (“BAY-CHEE VEERSH-LEE”) differ from regular virsli in that they are made from a mixture of beef and pork, rather than just pork. They tend to be the most expensive variety of virsli. While the word Bécsi means “Viennese” they were first made by Swiss-born butcher Johann Georg Lahner in 1805.
