Bazsalikom (“BA-ZSHIL-IKOM”) is widely used in Hungary for flavoring soups, salads, sauces, meat and fish. It is usually sold in shredded and dried form, but many Hungarians grow it in their gardens or i kitchen windows. More rarely, it is called királyfű, literally “king grass.”
