Agriculture Ministry Rolls Out Pork Barrel Pork Awareness Campaign

magyarsertes.jpg

As spotted on the Budapest Metro earlier this week. The poster is part of a campaign being financed by the national Agricultural Marketing Center, and is apparently aimed at encouraging the consumption of Hungarian pork among locals (the tagline csak jo sülhet ki belőle means “only good things can be cooked from this.”) You might say it is Hungary’s answer to the American National Pork Board legendary “the other white meat” campaign, except that in Hungary pork is already so popular it’s chicken that’s probably the “other” white meat. Either way, seems like a pretty fishy use of taxpayer money. [www.magyarsertes.hu]

“seems like a pretty fishy use of taxpayer money”

It’s all kosher, the pigs paid for it.

  2. Monika says:

I love salami. I eat it only ocassionally but then I enjoy it. Can I get some Téli please?
